Hello on the web sites of our care home. The care home was established in the first few years after the World War Two (1947). The care home was defined as social care home. In those days the main goal was a treating of the residents in the meaning of their safety, cleanliness and food fullness. This concept was present for a long time.
In the last few years our goals are above all opening the care home, establishing of smaller dislocated units and finding alternative way of independent living and functioning in the community. This means resettling residents.
We try to guarantee social inclusion of excluded persons. New models in professional understanding of life of the people with mental health problems finding new ways of living in community, which are less stigmatizing, restricted and offer more quality life.
Our ambitions are to find solutions suitable to present time and solutions which are beneficial to the people with mental health problems. Our new projects are coped with the process of deinstitutionalization and higher quality ways of living in present closed structures and dislocated semi-closed structures of our care home.
Our developments are unique in this part of Europe. We seek and welcome involvement and cooperation of government bodies, educational establishment, volunteers, local communities and interest groups in Slovenia and abroad.
